Introduction

This new blog, "The Blessing Ticker" will be an online journal of my personal blessings. I have a goal to make daily entries. I got this idea because I was kind of sad the other day and I was trying to think of some way that I could become a whole lot happier. Then this wonderful song came into my head.

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

I have faith that this song speaks truths and I'm willing to test its teachings. So here goes. I Please enjoy and feel free to comment or leave some of your discovered blessings.

As I sit here at my computer with my many "car photos" in front of me, because I need to update them to put back in my car so I can see all "my blessings" when I'm driving, I have to agree with you...photos of loved ones and special friends are THE BEST BLESSING, cuz when you are down just looking at who is out there loving you back can be a tremendous mood swinger! I love you, Sweet P. Thanks for blessing my day, daily!

I really like that song. I'm happy you're doing this. It puts a smile on my face :D haha. That's something I'm gratefully for, smiles. Everyone would be so sad without them. Keep smiling! It makes the biggest difference.

Wow, this is really cool. I feel blessed to have experienced all of these things too. A lot of them have been right beside you. Helps me realize things I let go unnoticed every day.
